I am a mixed media artist with a focus on painting, sculpture and found art objects. My artistic process is about exploring the intersection between creation and the expressivity of material.   

 

Each work begins with improvisation. I explore and play with the medium until I am driven in a certain direction. The installations I create are composed from found materials that have a non-art function. I am never attached to their permanence in space, but rather to their sensory experience in that moment.

 

Painting for me shares a commonality with sculpture, and the two are one in the same. I am compelled by colour and the subjective experience it gives me. Like music, matter has its own rhythm and I try to capture this movement through art.
